Zoe eagerly waited for the 1st day of school and after many reassuring conversations, the big day arrived. She woke up and got dressed with no difficulties, ate breakfast and patiently posed for pictures.
Once at school she hung out with Mom and Dad, but once Ms. Pilgram (her teacher) called the children to line up, her parents got fleeting kisses, she picked up her lunch kit and off she went. Per her instructions, we waited for her to go inside the classroom, but it didn't matter as she didn't even give us a backward glance.
The 2nd day she was off like a shot to join the line and had to be reminded to give her Mom a kiss good bye.
